This cartoon was previously released and at the time caused minor controversy over Lump's final comment to Myd. Some readers questioned the good taste quotient (myself included, truth be told) but most let it slide. Now that I'm setting up the official Misery & Co. website, I'm becoming a little more conscious of offensive humor as I'm trying to reach a broader audience. For instance, I've pert near sworn off the word "fuck" in the mainstream comic itself (though it may or may not be uttered elsewhere on the site), despite the fact that fuck was commonplace in the original comic book version of the series. Shit will remain acceptable, don't worry.

In any case the line as originally written was "Go screw, ya border jumpin' greaseball". I had initially tried to work in the phrase Babaloo to drive home Myd as the Ricky Ricardo character but just couldn't make it click. I wasn't offended, personally, by the greaseball jibe- Desi Arnaz WAS fairly greasy. It was the border jumping remark.

Despite being blatantly racist, it's factually erroneous. Ricky Ricardo is Cuban and we share no border to jump with them. I think that bugged me more than the racism.
